The following points lead to rejection of the Award Program:
Your Page should be in English or German, or should have at least a German or English version, because we understand only these two languages sufficiently.
Pages that violate existing national or international law, sites with violence, violation of human rights and human dignity, pages contain racist tendencies, and animal cruelty.
Pages with apparent violations of copyright, this applies to images, text, as well as music and videos, etc.
You waive of any type of under construction pages (not clickable links, Under Construction - signs, etc.) because it makes the page and navigation only confusing.
Your Award Graphics should not be larger than 200 x 200 Pixel, have no more weight than 20 kb and may not deliver any instructions of a Fake Award.
Your Award Program should not have a horizontal scroll bar at a standard resolution of 1024 x 768 px which.
Your website must not be W3C CSS / W3C HTML - XHTML valid. But if someone is a W3C valid and applies the W3C badges bear, then the site should also be valid and will be reviewed. Should the page not exist that test, we will not take it in the record status.
Main Criteria
The following points must be met, so that you AP can be listed by C.A.R.I.:
You are aged over 18.
You are the webmaster of the Award Program.
Your AP is safe and family friendly.
Your Award Program will be actively pursued.
You renounce largely for any promotion.
Alt-Tags are done on all pages.
Internal links open in the same, external in a new window.
Intro, if available, with skip-function and switch off for music is a must have.

Level Criteria
Level 1 - Starlevel
Your AP meets all the main criteria. You have awarded 1-3 winners and you present them worthy. Your AP has a simple and neat design and a functionally navigation. Your Award Graphic is a nice and consistant picture.
Level 2 - Highlevel
Your AP meets all the main criteria. Your AP is existing longer than a quarter of a year. You have already awarded 5 winners (one in each categorie), which you are presenting worthy, subdivided into categories. Your AP has a nice design, created with love and a well thought navigation. Your Award Graphic, which is suitable to your AP, is a nice and consistant picture.
Level 3 - Toplevel
Your AP meets all the main criteria. Your AP is in operation since at least half a year. You have already awarded 10 winners (1 in Gold), which you are presenting very worhy, subdivided into categories. The design of your AP shows, that you have already dealt longer time with web design and your navigation is resolved very well. Your award graphic evidences your good handling with graphics programs.
Level 4 - Superlevel
Your AP meets all the main criteria. Your AP is in operation since at least half a year. You have already awarded 10 winners ( 2 in Gold), which you are presenting very worhy, subdivided into categories. Your Winners presentation is one of the highlights on your AP. Your Laudationes are written very personally. The design of your AP is wonderful and you can see at a glance, that you have some knowledge in webdesign. Your navigation is not desirable open. Your Award Graphic is high quality and it dealt, that you have already some knowledge in operation with graphic programs.
Level 5 - Exclusivlevel
Your AP meets all the main criteria. Your AP is existing already more than one year and was in operation the whole time without interruption. Your numerous winners will be presented in a very worthy frame, subdivided into categories. Your Laudationes are speaking very personally and individual to the recipient and they built the highlight of your AP, together with your Award Graphic. Your Award Graphic is a little Kunstwerk, that that evidences the perfect colloquial with graphic programs.
Process
Upon receipt of your application your AP will be visited once within one week and checked, whether they meet our criteria. About the decision, whether the page in our status is recorded or not, you will receive an email.
Please do not be angry if we don´t record your page in the status. Gladly you can apply again after a period of 3 months, if your site meets our criteria until then. Please don´t send impolite mails, if we refuse your application - we will not discuss our decision.
If your page is recorded in the status, it does not mean at the same time that it gets a rating level. It only means, that the page meets our basic criteria, and we visit it several times to evaluate it.
If we found in the course of the evaluation that the AP fails against one or more of our criteria, we will disqualify it.
Pages that are evaluated ready will be marked in the status. Coinciding with this label you will receive an email with the result. If you see your page as assessed finish in the status, but passing within three days of no mail, then don´t be shy, just ask.
If your AP is recorded in the status, we will visit it 3-5 times and evaluate it. Please give us a little time for that, up to 4 weeks. Should we need, for some reason, even longer, we will inform you via email.
The number of visits and the time of assessment depends on the extent of the AP. About the number of visits and the progress of the assessment you can provide information on our status page.
Because not everybody is surfing with the I.E., we will visit your page with the three major browsers (I.E. 7.0, Opera 9.63 and Mozilla Firefox 3.05). We will also visit your page in various resolutions.
If your side should be rated in the C.A.R.I., you will receive the seals and badges besides a little Laudation via email and your AP will be presented with screenshot and backling in our Members list.
